Cross-Organization Forum Commits to Protecting Jakarta

The Jakarta Cross-Organization Forum (FLO) is committed to maintaining Jakarta's conducive, safe, and orderly environment.

Chairman of FLO, Juaini Yusuf invited Jakarta residents not to be easily provoked or to participate in anarchistic and criminal acts in expressing their aspirations.

"We are very concerned about the anarchistic actions that have damaged public facilities that actually also belong to the residents of Jakarta," he said, Monday (9/1).

He asked all parties to maintain peace so that people can run their activities as usual, especially in meeting their daily needs.

He added that it is hoped that this cross-organization solidarity will be able to reduce riots or anarchistic actions.

"We will assist to ensure that Jakarta is truly conducive and public is wiser in expressing their aspirations without causing casualties and losses," he added.

Juaini also expressed his deep condolences for the death of an online motorcycle taxi (Ojol) driver named Affan Kurniawan (21) during a demonstration.

"May all the families always have fortitude and strength in this trial and may Allah provides protection," he stated.
